SRTBRC has obtained response equipment and supplies to deploy to a crisis/emergency and provide communications support. The corner stone of the project is a trailer configured as a command post and a satellite system that will provide boradband internet as well as VOIP telephone access. SRTBRC personnel will travel with the necessary supplies to sustain themselves for a period of 14 days. These supplies and equipment would include food, water, shelter, fuel, generators, medical supplies, and additional items.
The “Deployment Trailer” has been utilized as a command post on several occasions. It has been updated with appropriated identification markings. The trailer includes the MITOC based communications system; which provides broadband internet, SATCOM, and interoperability for multiple agencies.
